Paying with HSA or FSA funds

You may be able to use pre-tax health funds toward a Strolee cart through Burst. Eligibility is not guaranteed.

How it works

  • 1. Check out as usual

Use any payment method. Your regular credit or debit card is fine.

  • 2. Complete Burst's intake form

Burst connects you with a licensed clinician who reviews your case and, if appropriate, issues a Letter of Medical Necessity.

  • 3. Burst files your claim

Your HSA or FSA administrator decides. If approved, funds are returned to your account.

Good to know

Is eligibility guaranteed?

No. A clinician decides whether a Letter of Medical Necessity is appropriate, and your plan administrator decides whether to reimburse.

Do I need my HSA or FSA card at checkout?

No. Pay with whichever card you normally use. Burst handles reimbursement after your purchase.

Does Burst charge a fee?

Yes. Burst charges a service fee that you pay directly to Burst. It's separate from your Strolee purchase.

Can I use it for a past purchase?

Generally no. A Letter of Medical Necessity must be dated on or before the purchase date.
